After pouring our blood, sweat, and well not really tears (we had a great time) into our new album Painkiller it’s finally time to release it into the wild. What joy! What rapture! Completing this artistic challenge was no small task. We had a team lead by the tireless Eric Heigle that helped shape what this EP would end up being: solid as a rock. We’re extremely proud of it and cannot wait to share it with you fine folks. The name of the new EP is Painkiller. We want this album to take away your stress and get you feeling good! Pop a Painkiller into your listening device and see your troubles melt like butter. There are a couple ways to catch the release of Painkiller this week.  We’ll be in Destin Thurs. at The Funky Blues Shack, Fri. at Chelsea’s in Baton Rouge, and Sat. we bring it on home at The Maple Leaf Bar in New Orleans. You can also download the tracks from iTunes, Amazon, or any other digital content provider. Have a good one!

What’s happening everybody? Jazz Fest has come and gone, but the memories are oh so strong. That’s right folks, it was an absolute thrill to play at N.O. Jazz and Heritage Festival this year and all the amazing late night shows at Tipitina’s, Publiq House, and Blue Nile. Couldn’t have asked for a better two weeks. We’re  currently gearing up to release our new EP, Painkiller, next week at The Maple Leaf in New Orleans. This week, however, we head East to rip it up in Mississippi. We’ll be doing a graduation celebration show in Hattiesburg on Fri. at the legendary Boom Boom Room at 10. On Saturday we are headlining Mayfest in Ocean Springs at 7. Gonna be a great weekend!

What’s up everybody? We’ve been hitting it hard lately. Oh yea, so hard. But guess what folks? Just because we rock doesn’t mean we’re made out of stone. We’re school girl excited to be playing for the 2nd time the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. As life long New Orleanians, this festival is like a big ole dysfunctional family reunion with the whole city and friends from around the country. Oh look, Grandma’s smoking a huge joint and Grandpa has been passed out for hours. It’s Festival time! Along with Jazz Fest we’ve got a bunch of great shows going on at night after you get yo fill of the fairgrounds. Check out the picture to the left with more details. We hit at Jazz Fest Friday morning on the Gentilly Stage at 11:15. See ya on the streets!

What’s happening? It’s been a busy April so far and it’s just getting started! We had an amazing time at Rhythm and Blooms Festival in Knoxville and were blown away by the packed out crowd at French Quarter Fest. This week is going to be a wild one! We kick things off on Thurs. with Jazz in the Park, a free concert series in New Orleans at the historic and beautiful Armstrong Park at 5pm. On Friday we head West to Austin, Texas to funk up Antone’s with our good friends in Stooges Brass Band at 10pm. On Saturday we have a double header! We are thrilled to be performing at Houston International Festival at 1pm and 4pm respectfully. That night we make a bee line back to NOLA for our 420 Funktacular at Blue Nile. Finally on Sunday we bring the whole funk train to the shores of Bayou St. John for Earth Day Fest at noon. See ya out there folks!

Hello everybody! Hope you’re doing just dandy. Spring is upon us (at least I think) and we couldn’t be more excited to hit the road this weekend to celebrate. How you celebrate a season?  Good question dummy! We’ll be branging in Sprang the best way we know how: by cracking your musical backbones at The Rhythm and Blooms Festival in Knoxville, TN. It’s always a pleasure to be in Knoxville, and this year we’re kicking off the festival on Friday April 5th in the historic Market Square at 6:30. It’s gonna be a great time so make sure you don’t miss it! We’ll also be trekking over to Starkville, MS this Saturday to bring some funk to Zorba’s Greek Tavern. It’s been a minute since we invaded Starkville and we are looking forward to seeing old friends and making a whole bunch of new ones! That show starts at 10, bring your cow bells. Peace!

Can’t wait to bring some backbone cracking music to that venerable Uptown institution. It’s always great to come back to the Leaf where anything can happen and normally does. We hit at The Maple Leaf on Friday at 10:30. On Saturday we head to The Fairgrounds for the Infield Festival at The Louisiana Derby. We’ll be kicking off at 2pm for what will be a great day of gambling, music, and horses! Our friends in Cowboy Mouth close out the festivities. Gonna be a good one, see ya at the track!

Helllllo out there! Boy it sure has been a minute. Well folks we’re hard at work putting the finishing touches on our new EP and couldn’t be more excited. Check out our media page for a little behind the scenes action of some of the process. When you’re an independent band it takes harnessing every hour for productivity in the studio because, as Einstein famously said, time is money. We are thrilled to be working with our good friend/ amazing producer Eric Heigle who’s done everything from recording Arcade Fire to scoring movies and working on HBO’s Treme. It’s a very exciting time for us and we can’t wait to drop these fresh new tunes on ya!
