Greetings everybody! We just wrapped up our 3 day run in Destin and couldn’t have been more thrilled with the turnout. Each night we were greeted by Flow Family that got down and got down but good! Great to see everybody and we’ll be back in July for a 4 day run celebrating Independence Day and all that good stuff. This weekend will be closer to home with two shows that will surely crack yo backbones! Friday night we head to the legendary Maple Leaf Bar where the good times will be rolling all night. Our good friends from the band Chroma will be opening up for us so get there at 10 and stay till the end! On Saturday we’ll be performing at Bay Bridge Fest on the Silver Slipper Stage at 7:30. We’re stoked to be a part of this great festival featuring many of our buddies from other NOLA bands. Gonna be good ol’ fashion throw down if you ask me! Back Breakin' Type of News
What’s happening? Want to start off by thanking everyone who helped us make our Midwest Swang so funkin awesome. Great turnouts in Cape Girardeau, St. Louis, Chicago, and Jackson. We were thrilled to throw down with such lovely folks and will be back up that way reaaaal soon! Now, back to the lecture at hand. We can’t WAIT to hit the beach this Memorial Day Weekend and once again bring our backbone crackin’ music to Funky Blues Shack in Destin and Baytowne. So many good memories at both those places and what better way to escape the heat of NOLA than to hit the beach in Destin. No betta way my friends. What’s happening folks? We are excited to announce we’ll be heading up North from NOLA to play a great run of shows this week. We’re starting our Midwest tour Wed. in Cape Girardeau, MO at Pitter’s. Thurs. night we’re opening for our good friends in Big Sam’s Funky Nation at the Broadway Oyster Bar in St. Louis. Friday we break new ground in Chicago, at the Tonic Room and Sat. we bring it back South with a performance at Martin’s in lovely Jackson, Mississippi. Hello everybody! What you are seeing in the picture to is what we saw on May 3, 2012. It was our debut performance at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and a truly mind blowing day for everyone in the Tribe. It’s hard to put into words the sheer joy and unbridled passion that was released that day. Growing up going to Jazz Fest every year to being a part of it was something very difficult to believe. We want to thank ya’ll for the amazing support because it was YOU that got us to our biggest stage so far. Big shout out to Chanel, James, Rachel, and Ashley for filling out our sound with their amazing voices and talented horn playing. Anyway, don’t just take my word for it.
