What’s happening family? We leave today for a week in the woods to record our latest album. Flow Tribe will be heading to the legendary Dockside Studios in Maurice, Louisiana to birth our next funk baby. We’re stoked to be working with a great team led two Grammy Award winners: producer John Snyder and engineer Dave Ferell. We’ll also be having our good friend  world renowned percussionist Bill Summers (Headhunters, Herbie Hancock, Los Hombres Calientes) sitting in on the whole recording process. We’re so grateful for everyone’s involvement and can’t wait to get in the studio! Our little brains have been feverish in anticipation…time to record some sweet back bone cracking music!

This album will be the culmination of two years of writing, rehearsing, and perfecting a group of songs that we know will continue to crack your backbones for years to come. Simply put, we are hoping to capture the impossible. Music is the centerpiece of our lives and through your efforts to help fund this project we can bring the highest caliber of funk into your life. Teaming up with acclaimed producer John Snyder (http://www.artistshousemusic.org/John+Snyder), Flow Tribe will head to Dockside Studio (http://www.docksidestudio.com/) in late February 2011 to accomplish this task. We have a week scheduled at this legendary studio and we hope to accomplish our goal of creating a unique album of songs that will, by all measures, flip your mother lovin’ switch. The donations you provide will go into the manufacturing of the actual albums. We have been saving for this album for the past 6 months and simply need some outside help to pay for the mechanical costs of producing the album and marketing. Thank [...]
